Govinda Koirala, Ph. D received Masters in Statistics from Tribhuvan University, Masters in Business Management from University of Hawaii, USA, and PhD in Economics from New York University, USA. While teaching at Kirtipur campus, he also contributed to various research projects, relating to population and economic studies. He joined University of Rio Grande and spent more than two decades, teaching and sometimes managing as director of MBA Program and as chairman of the School of Business. During breaks at the university, he spent many summers in teaching and conducting research in Nepal. He has continuously attended, participated and in some occasions presented research papers at annual conferences of American Economic Association (AEA) where economists including various Nobel Laurates from around the world join.
