3 days of trip and 300 different stories and uncountable memories to take away.

Young, dumb, broke, wild, and free. Words that scream at the top of their lungs for what your college life is about. Those words, incomplete without friends. March 28th, 2019 and a new bunch of people. New students, very new friends, and so much of new stories to share and create. 3 days of trip and 300 different stories and uncountable memories to take away. Flying off in the highway with a bus and 26 cool kids, Sauraha was going to experience the rupture of craziness wilder than the wilderness it has. The beautiful village of Sauraha of Ratna nagar Municipality in Chitwan is small yet elegant with artistic culture. The journey supposed to be approximately of 4-5 hours was stretched like a rubber band to 9 with 40 different stops. It’s not about the destination but the journey was truly lived that day. Yet, it was also about to be out ruled.

While half of us were ready to jump into the pool at a dime when we got there, we instead faced three serious faces telling us to freshen up and be in the garden in an hour. Of course, we were late. Now we had just about two hours to go out, meet the locals and talk to them about the problems they faced. This would be the basis of what “was planned” for tomorrow.

What awaited the following day was not just fun and excitement but also very punctual, not to mention serious facilitators for the workshop on design thinking. The workshop was focused on gift giving experience to which we dug deeper into the significance of the gift following the legendary five Whys process in regards with the significant of the gift giving experience. We then talked to our partners about the five things that could have enhanced the gift giving experience for both the parties. Feedbacks were given and taken, and we were asked to choose one thing that could have been done with the gift. We modeled a prototype for what we though would have been a better gift and create a better gift giving experience.
